Yes it is very weird to exclude MID, THE standard. And going from a .MID to
a .MOD is not a trivial thing, far from it. Speaking of MOD, i find it strange
that people are still making full of MOD players with added functions, but not
one of the enhanced trackers (16 or 32 channels, 16 bit for GUS) can use the
patches (.pat) included with the GUS... They prefer wasting time with click
removals which wouldn't be a problem with the .pat.
Now regarding midi, are people still interested in the gusjam project? I, Hal
and Stuart did put some stuff on epas for enhancement, but not much has
happened since then. I still have full of drum patterns (mostly techno and
rap) which i could put on epas, but is there any interest in doing something
with that? I'm sure there are people here who specialise in bass lines or
stuff like that... i would expect some killer songs... My specialty btw is
drums and lead synths (or organ or piano) and main style is techno and house.
Ciao,

I've uploaded a document some of you may find useful regarding
noisy GUSses on Epas. Hopefully it will soon be a valuable
addition to the FAQ. Look for GRNDLOOP.TXT in the submit dir.
